Dad Left My Step-Mom

Tyler’s father has just walked out on his wife Josie for a woman of twenty-four. Tyler is twenty-two and comes home for the weekend to keep his stepmother company through the worst of it. The house is quieter than it should be, and the comfort he came to offer starts to be about something else.

Dad Left My Step-Mom starts from a grief rather than from a temptation, which gives it a different tone from the usual setup: Josie has been left, she is raw about it, and Tyler is the one person around who knows exactly what happened. A weekend in an emptied-out family home is all the series needs.
