Midnight Compartment

One overnight train, one sleeper compartment, three people. Your boss is asleep in the bunk across from you. His wife is not, and she is the one who keeps finding reasons to move closer. Compartment 12 is not big enough for the distance you are supposed to keep, and there is nowhere on a moving train to go.

Midnight Compartment is written to you, and the tension is the point: not whether it happens, but how close it gets before someone wakes up. The train does the work a house cannot, with a corridor of strangers outside the door and a night that has to end at a station. It is a series about proximity and the cost of getting caught.
